What we did
This replacement dwelling is situated on a suburban street in the Solihull area, and so the planners insisted it be in keeping with the style of the neighbouring houses.
We replicated the steep roof detail of the original house and kept the overall height by adding a concealed flat roof centrally. This allowed the first-floor area to be doubled in size. The building uses stone cladding at the front from Taylor Maxwell.
